Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.

Description (Physical description)
One spatula of worked bone. Spatula end tapering into pointed tip with one straight edge and one convex side; in centre slim handle with straight sides; distal end tapering into pointed tip with transversely incised lines at base. Brown and yellow surface coloration.
