One oblong piece of worked bone. Rectangular in cross section tapering into a blunt tip at one end; distal end bulbous with two horizontally aligned circular holes. Sooting all over as well as reddish dark brown surface coloration.

Original record describes this as a harpoon head. However, it is a flat piece of bone, tapering to a point at one end and expanding to a bulbous end pierced with two holes at the other.

This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4).
