Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.

Description (Physical description)
One small fish harpoon of worked bone. Handle roughly tear shaped in cross section with end tapering into a flat pointed tip; other end stepped back and tapering into pointed tip with two small barbs on the side. Yellow surface coloration.
