One handle of worked bone, roughly oval in cross section; one half with roughened surface created by transverse cut marks and incised lines; two central convex knobs protruding to the sides; other half with blunt tip, probably partly broken off and missing, and few cut marks on sides. Reddish brown surface coloration.

This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
