Description (Physical description)
Long blade which is curved at the bottom and straight at the top. The handle is decorated with notches on the area where it joins the blade and on the pommel end. There are two pieces of gut or sinew tied around the handle.

This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
