Description (Physical description)
One oblong reddish brown whetstone, rectangular in cross section, and slightly tapering into a irregularly rounded tip; other end broken off and missing. Two opposing narrow sides showing sanding marks, the other two ground or natural.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
