Description (Physical description)
One piece of worked tooth or ivory, short cylindrical with tapered rounded tip and irregular surface; other end cut off flat with saw marks and drilled deeply in the centre. About a quarter broken out and missing at the side. Yellow surface coloration.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
