Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.

Description (Physical description)
One toggle or button of worked bone, semicircular in cross section and tapering into a rounded tip. Broken off approximately in the centre and only one half preserved; remnants of a circular hole drilled at the edge of the break. Brown surface coloration.
