Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.

Description (Physical description)
Baleen scraper. With one thinned, curved end for scraping; the other end has thin projections on both sides and a deep groove cut out between. One section is folded over lengthways.
