Bone handle. It is a long shaft with oval cross-section; the butt end is round, with one perforation and an adjacent hole that does not perforate. The blade end has a perforation; one face is broken off, possibly at a blade slot. There is a long slit cut down one face with multiple marks.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
