Description (Physical description)
Worked piece of narwhal tusk ivory. Shaft with oval-shaped cross-section; one end is broken off, the other is diagonal with a flat face, with a filled rivet hole below.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
