Description (Physical description)
Tool with wooden handle and ivory point. The wooden shaft has a square cross-section and is partly missing. A thin ivory point is bound tightly to one face with sinew or plant fibre, wrapped many times around.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
