Tool with wooden handle and ivory point. The wooden shaft is long with square cross-section, tapering slightly to the blade point. A thin, cylindrical ivory point is bound tightly to one face with baleen or leather fibre.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
