Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.

Description (Physical description)
Worked piece of antler, possibly an incomplete harpoon. It has a slightly curved shaft with transverse line hole at the centre; the blade end has been cut into a slight taper; and the other has a section cut away, possibly with two incomplete spurs. It is chipped on the reverse side.
