Context (Field collection)
Grave group (1988.223-1988.232) found with a skeleton by Chris Montague while metal detecting in August 1987. Retrospectively assigned number Grave 28 by Malim and Hines (1998). Found on the site of Edix Hill (Barrington A) cemetery, which was excavated in the 19th century.

Iron stud, possibly from a shield boss. Flat circular stud with broken bar protruding from the centre on reverse. Crack from one edge to the centre.
