Context (Field collection)
Grave group (1988.223-1988.232) found with a skeleton by Chris Montague while metal detecting in August 1987. Retrospectively assigned number Grave 28 by Malim and Hines (1998). Found on the site of Edix Hill (Barrington A) cemetery, which was excavated in the 19th century.

Iron stud. Flat circular stud with small iron bar protruding from the centre of reverse. Large crack along one side. Stud possibly from a shield boss.
