The Accession Register describes Z 17000 B as 'rectangular bone pieces (burnt) (?comb fragments)'. They were subsequently entered in the catalogue as B.1 (burnt ivory fragments from a bag ring) and B.2 (bone comb fragments). It is entirely possible that there is never a B.2, and in fact the object described in the Accession Register was not a comb but the bag ring.
