Context (Analysis)
On Friday 11th November Stuart Needham analysed this dagger. He noted 'Study of the Southery Manor Farm dagger confirms that it belongs to a rare type, 4D Blackwaterfoot according to my system. I date these a little earlier than Sabine Gerloff did, in or around the 20th century BC'.
The Period field previsouly stated Earlier Bronze Age but has been amended to reflect this new analysis.
