Description

Faceted copper alloy cross guard from a dagger or sword hilt. Cross guard features a hexagonal cross-section with elongated top and bottom faces; quillions slightly bent towards blade, tapering to pointed terminals; exterior two faces either side feature row of evenly spaced punched dots. Remnant of corroded tang remains in situ; one side of cross-guard features indentation to accept blade shoulders.
