Description
Copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton of the 'rose and orb' type; with circular perforation. Obverse depicts crowns and fleurs-de-lis around a central rose. Reverse shows an imperial orb surmounted by a cross pattée contained within a tressure of three arches and three angles. Lombardic lettering around the border of each face. Legends are worn and undecipherable, perhaps fictitious, but the letters 'B.LEOBE' and 'B.ELOB' can perhaps be seen. No discernible maker's name.
