Description

Globular urn of black ware with a high neck, everted rim and flat base. Decorated around the neck with a band of interlace chain pattern between two sets of parallel grooves. Double grooved chevrons at shoulder, containing alternately an animal with back turned head and a hooked cross. Below is an undulating broad groove between two thinner grooves. Urn reconstructed from sherds and infill.

Pendant triangles at shoulder, containing alternately an animal with back turned head and a key pattern (swastika). Animal ressembles those on VII Century AD manuscripts and cross shafts.
