Context (Amendments / updates)
A catalogue card exists also for 1915.124. Christopher Chippindale, knowing the duplication in AR and regular numbers in accessions at that time, and after discussing the duplication with Ian Stead (British Museum) who studied the Cambridge La Tene collections in the past, concludes there is only one such object. He has cancelled the separate entry for 1915.124, and absorbed that record into this one.
'The correct idno is 1915.124 (Register No 4). An earlier idno, later cancelled, is 1915.238 (Register 3). Also given a Z number for some reason. Until the number written on the object has been checked, all possible idnos left in the idno field. J.Somerville 3/9/2001.'
