Description

Cast copper alloy cruciform brooch. Headplate with trapezoidal central panel with triangular punchmarks and rectangular wings with long notches. High arched bow with a ridged groove down the centre, triangular punchmarks on the sides and rectangular sections at the top and bottom. Flat panel with triangular punchmarks and with curved rectangular lapels decorated with concentric semi-circles. Horsehead terminal with protruding eyes and flared nostrils. Pin bar lug and catch plate on the reverse. Loss form the top of the head.
