Description
Pot with high upright rim, wide shoulder and flat base. Decorated around the neck with three horizontal grooves, two rows of stamps and a further four horizontal grooves. Below this is a band of chevron design made from five-lined grooves and containing stamps. One type of stamp used. Large part of neck and rim missing, eight sherds detached but present.

Large cinerary urn of blackish brown ware, globula form. Flattened base. Neck decorated with band of stamp design between paralled grooves. Chevron design at shoulder with triangular spaces filled with stamp. Rim broken; Broken. 'Reconstructed using ?plaster of paris to line the vessel and hold it together. Some sherds broken away but present. J. Somerville 26/3/2001.'
