Description
A small, spherical crotal bell of cast copper alloy. The bell has: a rectangular loop with a small hole; a narrow, oval hole below the loop on one side; a circular sound hole on either side of the top half; a pronounced ridge around the centre; a narrow slot across the bottom with a circular hole at each end; a globular iron pea inside. Both halves of the sphere have incised decoration, consisting of double-outlined drop-shapes or petals, each with a cross in the centre. On one side of the slot is an embossed hammer symbol, consisting of a hammer within an oval.
