Description
Iron padlock, possibly a fetterlock. Crook-shaped shackle with flat, rectangular cross-section; cylindrical lock body with circular disk-shaped terminal on one end and a shield-shaped terminal on the other to which the shank is hinged; number nine-shaped keyhole pierced in one side of lock body. ‘EW’ (or possibly ‘GW’) is stamped on the face of the shackle.
