Description
A spherical crotal bell of cast copper alloy. The bell has: a rectangular loop with a rectangular hole; a circular sound hole either side of the loop; a pronounced ridge around the centre; a slot across the bottom with a circular hole at each end; two globular iron peas inside. The lower half has incised decoration either side of the slot, consisting of double-outlined D-shaped loops or petals, surrounding a double-outlined semicircle; the semicircles contain the inscribed letters 'W' and 'G' between two circles.
