Description
Socketed iron head of an eel-spear with six barbed tines. Each tine has a square cross-section tapering to a pointed end; the four edges of each tine feature a series of small, downward facing nicked barbs along their length. The split socket has a circular cross-section, flaring towards the mouth and pierced either side of the mouth with a circular hole; a single langet-like extension continues down from the socket, ending in a rounded terminal; the langet-like extension is pierced by two circular holes along its axis.
