Description

Two sherds from a lead glazed costrel, including rim and handle, possibly from a single vessel. Simple everted rim with moulded collar on short narrow neck expanding slightly, decorated at one end with series of incised lines. Rectangular lug handle with single piercing, attached at an upward angle to high upper shoulder, body decorated with two bands of incised lines. Possibly Fabric B, outer surface red brown in colour with brown core, exterior surface covered in dark brown glaze.
