Record for 1926.245: '16 beads probably forming a single necklace, they are as follows. 5 dark blue glass of a common type, 4 amber squarish in shape and very well made, 2 fossil sponges (coscinophora 1 large and 1 small), 1 large red vitreous paste inlaid with yellow and green much decayed, 1 small red vitreous paste inlaid with twist of yellow and green very neatly made, 1 clear glass very pale seagreen, 1 greenish yellow vitreous paste inlaid with black in a pseudo spiral pattern and may well be an early bead, 1 small yellowish green vitreous paste.'

At an unknown date, these beads lost association with their original accession number (1926.245) and were reaccessioned as Z 16101. They have subsequently been matched up based on description.

If, as the accession register notes, these beads were collected in 1851, then they will have been found as part of Richard Cornwallis Neville's excavation. It is not currently known how Rev. J.G. Clarke obtained them. Neville has therefore been tentatively added to the Source field.
