Description

Shield-shaped wool weight (7 lbs). Cast with raised central shield, upon which is engraved with the coat of arms of Henry VII: the upper left and lower right quarters with three fleur de lys, the upper right and lower left with three lions. Around the margins on the obverse the initial 'H' ensigned with a crown is stamped three times; the pointed base has a rectangular perforation. The reverse has a circular depression, possibly created by a lathe.
