Description

Biconical pot with narrow mouth, everted rim and flat base. Above shoulder are multi-lined chevrons with stamps between bordered by parallel grooved lines above and below; one stamp used. Below shoulder are two rows of stabbed ornament and multi-lined panels extending to base. Part of rim missing; one rim sherd detached but present.

Description (CMS Description)
Cremation urn of full, globular type. Flattened base, rim everted. Neck decorated with diagonal grooves making chevron pattern, triangular spaces filled with stamp design. 6 horizontal grooves encircle shoulder. Below are two rows of short diagonal impressions, from which groups of vertical lines extend to base of pot. Anglian type.
