Description
Globular urn of red-brown ware with flat base. Three horizontal linear grooves above shoulder. Four shoulder bosses interspersed with incised shield-like design. Possible evidence of heat spalling on body. Reconstructed from sherds - rim is missing, along with a portion of the body; nine sherds detached but present.

Cremation urn. Rounded base. Globular body. 4 knobs at shoulder. Rough groovings at the neck and between bosses. Red brown ware; Complete. 'Heavily reconstructed with an inner skin of clay holding it together. Some sherds loose in the bottom of the urn. J. Somerville 23/3/2001.'
