Description
Pot with flat base and everted rim. Decorated around the neck with five irregular horizontal grooves, followed by a band of four-line chevrons containing two different types of stamp. The chevrons are interspersed with four short vertical shoulder bosses. Possible heat spalling to lower pot, some areas reenforced with infill.

Cremation urn. Brownish black ware. Four unevenly placed bosses and chevron design, both at shoulder. Latter design combined with stamps and ring of stamps below bosses; Complete. 'Reconstructed using ?plaster of paris to line the vessel and hold it together. J. Somerville 26/3/2001.'
