116 sherds of varied colour and fabric, including grey and buff ware and 17 pieces with traces of green and yellowish brown glaze; turning marks on some pieces. 54 rim sherds. Seven handles, including one reconstructed from two pieces; two rod handles, one of which has a central groove; five strap handles, two with grooves, one with stab marks, one with a central groove, and one with frilled edges. 29 body sherds, some with thumbed impressions. 26 base sherds, one of which is thumbed.

Old label found with these objects, probably relating to all this collection reads: ‘Sherds etc. [section missing] the site of a Manor house, Flambard's Manor, Meldreth, Cambs. Most of the sherds shown are from a layer earlier than the one which contained a coin of Henry III. They are chiefly 'Norman' & include only a few of the late Saxon type.’ A further old label adds: "C.A.S. Proc. Vol. XXXV".
