Description
Gold, garnet, rock crystal and amethyst pendant. A crystal ring bead is bound with a ring of gold surmounted by a biconical gold loop. A large flat cut amethyst fills the centre of the obverse. 4 cross arms run from the central boss to the outer ring. These are set in cloisonné garnet in small cells, arranged in a herringbone pattern. The lower arm opposite the loop is damaged and 1 or 2 pieces of garnet are missing. The reverse is plain. The loop shows signs of much wear.
