Context (CMS Context)
At time of computer transcription, a second card was found bearing the number 1912.34, describing a " Pick" from Eriswell, Suffolk
'Some confusion exists over the idnos for 1915. Most catalogue cards record, and many objects themselves are marked with, the Annual Report number as a primary number. However they all have a valid Accession Register number from Accession Register 4. Since many objects are part of a group of objects it is not always possible to positively identify the correct Accession Register number. A possible Accession Register number has been recorded in the idno line in the hope that the confusion may be resolved when the object is next viewed and the record amended accordingly. In addition, some objects also retain an earlier Accession number from Register 3. which were superseded by those in Register 4. Some have only the Register 3 number and others only a Blue Book number. J.Somerville 5/9/2001.'
