Description
Two quadrant-curved iron headstays from a bed burial made from square-sectioned iron bar which has been twisted in opposite directions from either end. Bifurcated terminals at either end; curved on one end to attach to the side planks of the structure and splayed on the other to secure the headboard. A.1 has rivet holes in the terminals that would have clasped the side planks and remains of one rivet. A.2 is missing most of the side plank terminals.

1936.793 A-G are all components of the bed structure accompanying grave 29, they originally shared a record but have now been given individual records and suffixes. 1936.793 H is a copper alloy pin found in the same grave, it is uncertain whether this ever formed part of the museum's collection.
