Context (Found together / assemblage)
Grave 6 contained: a single edged iron knife and two small sherds of pottery. In the south west corner of the grave were iron bindings of a wooden box. By the left femur lay a blue melon bead, oblate jet, or black glass bead and a small bronze hasp and studs. A few pieces of thin bronze binding, possibly from a gourd.

The initial excavation of the Anglo-Saxon cemetery was carried out in the early months of 1952 by the Cambridge Archaeological Field Club under the direction of the Hon. R.W.H. Erskine and D.M. Wilson. Its discovery was reported by Mr G.O. Vinter, MA, in the autumn of 1951.
