Description
Copper alloy cauldron, cast in two halves, with tripod feet. Possibly of leaded copper alloy. The cauldron has: three short, ribbed legs, each with a triangular cross-section, a triangular foot, and a central ridge that extends upwards to the shoulder; a conical base; a squat body with sides that taper towards the rim; two wide flash lines on opposite sides of the body, and several chaplets; a pattern of slightly raised horizontal, diagonal, and vertical lines on the body; two sharply angled, vertical lug handles between the rim and shoulder; a wide, everted rim with a slight internal thickening.
