Split-socketed iron spearhead with long, wide socket and relatively narrow blade. Two pairs of rivet holes close to shaft end of socket. Pattern welded blade has curved shoulders and straight sides; point missing.

In July 2013 James Hodgson, BA student at the University of Central Lancashire, identified this as M.J Swanton Type E2 (cf: A Corpus of Pagan Anglo-Saxon Spear-Types. BAR 1974).
