Description
Cast gilt copper alloy square headed brooch. Rectangular headplate with rectangular central panel; narrow pointed ovals extend from the top corners of the central panel to the top corners of the headplate. The headplate is decorated with low-relief human masks. Low-arched bow divided into two panels of low-relief ornament with a central circular boss. Cruciform foot with central circular boss, human mask lappets and human mask terminal. Double pin bar lug and catchplate present on reverse. Corner of headplate previously detached but now restored.
