Description
Cast copper alloy cruciform brooch. Rectangular central panel decorated with punchmarks on outer edges; broad wings; half round top and side knobs. High-arched bow with rectangular section areas at top and bottom. Flat panel decorated with punchmarks and scrolled lappets and two transverse grooves below. Horse head foot with deep brow, protruding eyes and circular nostrils. Exaggerated sub-rectangular lip terminal. On reverse, iron pin bar lug and cast copper alloy catchplate are present.
