Description

Cast copper alloy small long cruciform brooch. Square headplate decorated with punchmarks on four sides; flat rectangular top and side knobs with punchmarks on outer edge, one side knob mostly missing. Elongated low-arched bow with rectangular section areas. The foot is decorated with transverse grooved lines, flaring to a rounded terminal decorated with punchmarks; part of terminal missing. On the reverse are the remains of the pin bar lug and catchplate.

Small long brooch of Leeds' ' cross potent' type with modified crescentic foot. The square plate of head, arms of cross and foot are bordered with double scollop engraving. One arm is damaged.
