Description

Cast copper alloy cruciform brooch. Trapezoidal central panel with half-round top knob and possibly rectangular wings. High-arched bow with rectangular section areas at top and bottom. Flat panel decorated with transverse grooved lines. Horse head foot with protruding eyes, flaring nostrils and flaring lip terminal. On reverse catchplate and pin bar lug are present. Broken transversely at high-arched bow; two parts present. Significant damage to wings.
