Description
Large gilt bronze square headed brooch, with two inlays of red enamel(?) on head plate and on each lobe of the foot. Panelled bow with enamel dot. Down biting animals' heads. Median bar as in Anglian Square heads. Arrangement of zoomorplic design around outer edge of headplate may suggest Kentish influence
