Description
Watch fob seal, with an ornately scrolled openwork suspension loop surmounting a revolving oval intaglio seal, one side of which bears a portrait cameo of a man wearing an open-faced helmet, and the other the seated figure of Britannia holding her spear and shield.

This object was found with a wooden display board. A handwritten label affixed to the front of the board reads: '83.CAS.598. Fob chain steel seal ?Cambridge. Cam. Ant. Soc. 1883.' Also written in pencil on the back of the board: 'CAS. d3. ?Cambridge.'
