Description

Hedingham Ware jug with traces of glaze. Upright rim with a single rounded loop handle that is thumbed at the upper join with neck, connecting to shoulder. Squat and globular body decorated with concentric horizontal ridges. The flat base includes three pairs of thumbed decoration repeated at regular intervals around its edge. Orange fabric with areas of whitish accretions. Most of the rim is broken off and missing; some horizontal cracking throughout.
