Context (Amendments / updates)
The catalogue card has the following entry: "ELIZABETHAN FIND". While this item was originally catalogued as part of the Archaeology Department's holdings, it transpires that it is stored with the Anthropology Department's holdings. I have amended the entry accordingly.

Context (Amendments / updates)
After researching this and associated objects, suggest that 1883.692 A-F were found under the floor of the room known as the 'Shoe-maker's Room' in the Old Court of Corpus Christi College, and that 1883.692 (comb) and 1983.692 G (wood carvings) were found in a small cupboard in the Old Court with the leather objects in 1852. The Accession Register entry wrongly states the origin as Christ's College. Note with record clearly states find location as Corpus Christi College. All objects now reverted to Archaeology and index cards stored together in Arch. files.
