The palstave has been incorrectly marked 'SHELFORD' in white ink as well as being marked 'CAMBRIDGE'. The Place field previously stated that this object was found '?Babraham; ?Stapleford' however in reference to the PCAS vol. XXXIX p. 94 (see Bib) it states that it was found 'on the road which runs from Stapleford to the Babraham road, across a part of the Gogmagog Hills'. The place field has therefore been amended to read Gogmagog Hills.

'Bronze palstave, 17 cm. long, without loop, narrow; short flanges, high stopridge with narrow 'pinched' hollow below it; thin blade, well expanded, but wuth convex outline and no bevel; unevenly cast, the line showing the join of the 2 halves of the mould not being central. Not in Evans, but one of similar type from Stretham is in the museum collection. Found by workmen making foundations for a house called Glen Imhor, on the road from Stapleford to Hills Rd., 1938.
